Best Image Dimensions for Your Directory Listing

To make your listing stand out and look its best, we recommend uploading a horizontal image with a shape that’s about 1.33 times wider than it is tall — also known as a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Why use a horizontal image?

Our directory is designed to display images in a horizontal format. Using an image that matches this shape helps:

  • Prevent awkward cropping

  • Keep your photo centered and clear

  • Ensure it loads quickly and looks great on all devices

What do I do if I have a vertical image I want to use?

No problem. Open it up on your computer and get it to a 4:3 aspect ratio. While exact size isn't required, here’s a helpful guideline for how to size it:

Recommended size: 1200px wide × 900px tall (or any size with a 4:3 ratio)

This keeps the image high quality without being too large to load quickly.

Avoid These Common Issues:

  • Vertical or square images may be cropped in ways you don’t expect

  • Very large files may slow down your listing’s load time

  • Very small files may be too blurry.

  • Images with text might get cut off — keep important details centered

💡 Pro Tip:

Choose an image that reflects your space, vibe, or team — it’s often the first impression people get of your offering!
