Managing a Session's Address

How to set a different address for a specific session

Overview

Sometimes a session takes place at a location other than the assigned center's address. Both Facilitators and Center Administrators can set a session-specific address to record where the session actually occurs.

Why Would I Set a Session Address?

Most sessions take place at the assigned center, so you typically don't need to set a separate address. However, if a session occurs at a different location โ€” such as a participant's home โ€” you can record that address directly on the session.

This is particularly important for states like Colorado, where regulatory agencies require accurate reporting of the address where each session took place. Remember to follow the rules in your state, as not all states allow sessions to happen anywhere other than the center.

How to Set or Change a Session Address

  1. Open the Session you want to update

  2. On the Session Details tab, click the โ‹ฎ (More) button in the upper-right corner

  3. Select Add Address (or Change Address if one is already set)

  4. Fill in the address fields:

    • Street Address (required)

    • Street Address Line 2 (optional)

    • City (required)

    • State (pre-filled from the center's state)

    • ZIP Code (required)

  5. Click Save

How Does This Relate to the Center's Address?

Setting an address on a session does not change the center's address. It only applies to that specific session.

  • If a center is assigned to the session and has an address, the session uses the center's address by default

  • Setting a session address overrides the center's address for that session only

  • Other sessions at the same center are not affected

Tip: If the center's address itself is wrong, ask a Center Administrator to update it on the center's settings page instead. That way the correction applies to all sessions at the center.

Who Can Manage a Session's Address?

Both Facilitators and Center Administrators associated with the session can add or change the session address.
