How to use Althea to ensure you can contribute to the OPEN project

Althea has teamed up with the OPEN project at OHSU to make it easier for facilitators and program participants to contribute their data for their research efforts. OPEN's mission is to advance public health and collective wisdom by carefully measuring the impact of state-legal psychedelic services.

  1. Learn more about the program, incentives for facilitators and clients here.

  2. Enroll in the program by emailing [email protected] and let them know you're an Althea user so they can set you up appropriately on their end.

Set up in Althea (Required for Oregon Only)

While most of the setup and work involves using the OPEN site, there is one key detail you need to consider in Althea (and this is only for those in Oregon):

For the Oregon program, we have created a pre-filled Notice and Opt-Out of Disclosure of De-identified data form.

This will ensure that your client's data can be sent to OPEN in an informed manner.

The new form is called: OPEN - Notice and Opt-Out of Disclosure of De-identified data.

It is available at all Oregon Service Centers. To add it as part of preparation, simply go to "Add Forms" on the Preparation tab to add it in:

Then ensure the non-pre-filled out version (titled: Notice and Opt-Out of Disclosure of De-identified data) isn't also part of the bundle of forms you are sending. Then you are good to go!
