Why Althea Doesn't Delete Accounts
Althea is purpose-built software for regulated psychedelic therapy programs in Oregon and Colorado. Because these are state-licensed programs with legal compliance requirements, the records created in our platform — including client intake forms, screening documentation, session notes, dosage records, and outcomes data — must be retained as part of the official record.
Deleting an account would permanently remove records that may be required for:
State compliance audits — Regulators may review documentation from licensed facilitators and healing centers at any time.
Participant care continuity — Session records are part of a participant's care history and may be relevant to future care decisions.
Legal protection — Documented records protect both facilitators and participants in the event of adverse events or disputes.
What should I do if I have a duplicate account?
Simply log in to the account you wish to use and disregard the other. Unused accounts remain inactive and won't interfere with your active profile or practice.
If you're unsure which account contains your most complete information, contact our support team at [email protected] and we'll help you identify the right one.
What if I want my data removed for privacy reasons?
We take data privacy seriously. If you have specific concerns about your data, please reach out to our team directly and we'll discuss what options are available within our compliance obligations.
