Managing Your Marketplace Profile

How to edit, preview, publish, and unpublish your facilitator or center profile

Your marketplace profile is your page on Althea's marketplace: your photo, your bio, and the front door seekers arrive at before they book with you. This article covers how to edit it, preview it, and control whether it's live.

Finding your profile

Open Profile in the side nav. It sits alongside Sessions, Payments, and everything else.

If you're a facilitator with a profile who also administers a center with a profile, you have two separate profiles: one for you as a person, one for the center. Switch context to see the one you want.

Don't see a Profile item in the nav? That means Althea hasn't created your profile yet. Start with Marketplace Setup, which walks through getting onto the marketplace in the first place.

Editing your profile

Click Edit to change:

  • Display name — how your name appears to seekers.

  • Bio — up to 2,000 characters. This is the trust-building part of the page, so it's worth spending time on.

Your photo

The photo is edited on the page itself, not in the Edit modal. Hover over the photo frame and two controls appear: a camera icon to upload or replace, and a trash icon to remove.

For best results, use a square image, at least 400x400 pixels, saved as JPEG, PNG, or WebP. If you upload something smaller, we'll keep it but warn you that it may look soft on the marketplace.

Previewing before you publish

The button in the upper right changes depending on your status:

  • Preview — while your profile is unpublished. Opens a private view of your page in a new tab so you can check your work. This shows you what your profile will look like if you publish it as is. Nobody else can see it.

  • Profile — once you're published. Opens your live public page, exactly as a seeker sees it.

Either way, it's the fastest way to catch a typo or a photo that crops badly before anyone else does.

Publishing and unpublishing

While your profile is unpublished, a Publish button sits in the upper right. Click it and your page goes live on the marketplace.

To take it back down, open the menu next to the Edit button and choose Unpublish.

Unpublishing removes your profile page from the marketplace and nothing else. Specifically:

  • Bookings already in progress keep running exactly as they were.

  • Any published listings of yours stay live and stay bookable. If you want those down too, email [email protected].

You can republish at any time.

Two things worth knowing

Payments come first. The Publish button stays disabled until your payment setup is complete, because marketplace revenue comes directly to you. If you're not set up yet, the page will link you to the application.

A photo and a bio make you findable. Publishing puts your page online, but you'll only appear in marketplace browse once you have both. A published profile with no photo is a page that exists and nobody stumbles onto.

What about my listings?

Listings aren't self-editable yet. To add, change, or take down a listing, email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

We're working on making listings self-manageable in the app. Until then, we're happy to make the change for you.
