The Importance of Email in Althea

And how to troubleshoot Issues

Written by Lex Joyal

Althea uses email as the identifier for everything that happens within the system:

  • Logging in

  • Sending forms to clients

  • Filling out questionnaires

  • [for Centers] Sending invitations to facilitators

It is important to be certain you know which email you are using with your Althea account. If you signed up with one email and want to switch to a different one, you can change it yourself from your account β€” see Can I change my Althea email address? for the steps.

It's also very important that you know the preferred email address for the clients and facilitators you work with and plan to send things to via the system.

Troubleshooting Issues

What do I do if a client of mine says they didn't receive forms, but the system says that I sent them?

Double check that you have the correct email for your client. If that email is correct (and it was correct when you sent the forms out), have them search their email for "Althea Forms Request" to see if they can find it. They may also want to check their Spam folder too, just in case.

What do I do if my client wants to update their email?

That is just fine! Head to their client record, and you can edit their email from there. If they didn't receive forms/questionnaires because of this issue, simply resend those forms/questionnaires after you've made the change.
